Instructions.
Always prepare your FAWWĀH outside of your car on a clean, flat, and easily wipeable surface before placing it inside your vehicle. Be sure to promptly clean up any spills as the oils can react with some surfaces.
Using the rope
1. Start by removing the lid of your FAWWĀH diffuser and removing the plastic seal. The seal serves to prevent any leakage before use; you won’t need it once you’ve set up your diffuser.
2. Ensure the lid is securely screwed back on after removing the stopper. Ensure not to overtighten as you’re dealing with a glass product. Stop tightening once resistance is felt.
3. Next, slightly tilt the bottle for no more than 5 seconds. This step allows the fragrant oil to absorb into the wooden lid. This lid continues to release a delightful scent over time, even after the oil is gone.
4. Customize the string length to your preference and hang your air freshener wherever you’d like it. The only important thing to remember is that the lid should be pointing upwards; there’s no need to keep it tilted for the fragrance to disperse.
5. If you notice the fragrance diminishing, a brief inversion of the bottle (similar to Step 3) will release more oil into the wooden lid. We recommend doing this no more than once a week and for just a few seconds each time to prevent excessive oil depletion.
This method relies on the wooden diffusing lid, which expands as it absorbs the oil from the glass bottle, thanks to the heat from the sun and your car. They perform best in warm conditions and with exposure to heat. As you drive, the diffuser will sway slightly, gently wafting the aroma throughout the car.
Using the Reed Sticks
1. Start by removing the lid of your FAWWĀH diffuser and removing the plastic seal. The seal serves to prevent any leakage before use; you won’t need it once you’ve set up your diffuser.
2. Remove the rope from the lid by pulling one end out completely, and feeding the remaining section of rope through the lid until it has been completely removed.
3. Install the vent clip onto the bottle before placing the wooden lid back on the bottle. Ensure not to overtighten as you’re dealing with a glass product. Stop tightening once resistance is felt.
4. Place either one or two of the provided reeds into the openings of the lid where the rope was originally situated.
5. Using the vent clip, install the bottle in an upright position in one of your car vents (do not use too much force as to damage the vent trims), and ensure the vent is not switched off as the airflow is vital to dispersing the exceptional fragrance.
6. Customize the strength of the scent by using either one or two reed sticks (two sticks = stronger).
This method relies on the wooden sticks to absorb the fragrance oil and diffuse it through the vehicle due to either natural ambient heat, or heat from your vehicles ventilation system. Unlike using the rope method, you do not need to occasionally tilt the bottle to re-saturate the lid as the reed sticks are in constant contact with the oils. Note: It will take some time for the oils to absorb up through the reed sticks and for the scent to be dispersed.
Using the Refill Packages
1. Start by unscrewing the lid from your FAWWĀH diffuser and the lid from the refill bottle.
2. Carefully squeeze all the liquid from the plastic refill bottle into your FAWWĀH diffuser.
3. Install the newly provided wooden lid that is part of the refill package. Ensure not to overtighten as you’re dealing with a glass product. Stop tightening once resistance is felt.
4. Gently shake the bottle to mix the contents.
5. Hold the bottle upside down for no more than 5 seconds, you should notice the lid start to darken as the oil is absorbed. Please do not oversaturate the lid as spillages can occur.
6. Install the FAWWĀH diffuser into your vehicle using either the rope, or reed stick method listed above.
